VectorLinux Standard 5.8 Release Candidate 2

The VectorLinux team is definitely on a high work volume trend. The second release candidate of Standard edition v5.8 was just made public in short time after RC1 and the first beta.

At first glance, we couldn't find major differences between RC2 and RC1, however certain bugs had been fixed, especially since the public had been active by reporting them in the VL forums. And judging after the forums looks like new drivers had been added.

A major addition seem to be the support for XFS, especially as the root filesystem. We hadn't yet tested this feature, but will shortly benchmark it, both on real machines but also in emulated environments in order to have a clear overview of XFS vs ReiserFS.

The public contribution is visible if dig the official community forums which is definitely a positive attribute, especially since we are talking about open source software development.
