VectorLinux Standard 5.8 Release Candidate 1 is out

After the first beta release of VectorLinux Standard 5.8 RC1 had been made public promptly. This is a proof that although it is not commercially sustained, the enthusiast developers of VectorLinux are active and probably we will soon have the opportunity to download the final 5.8 releases of Standard and SOHO editions.

Certain bugs had been solved, however at first glance the differenced between the beta and RC1 are not visible.

Notable is the fact that the developers sticked to with the two motto's of the distro while developing: "When choices matter" and "At the speed of light".
